PADI ICE DIVER

Discover the beauty and amazing sites below the Ice!

During this course you'll learn ice diving planning, organization, techniques and how to deal with as well as avoid potential problems. The course takes one evening of class time followed by two days of Open water diving. (through a hole in the ice!)

Topics covered include: Site selection and preparation, special equipment and safety diver procedures. You'll then put this all into practice when you do actual ice dives. What a great way to say "I AM Canadian!"

Prerequisites:

• Advanced Open Water Diver certification
• Minimum age is 18 years old

• Classroom Lecture and open water dives
• Harness, ropes etc. provided by Dive Source - students are to supply their own cold water scuba gear. ( Yes - you can use a wetsuit and many people do)
• Minimum 3 ice dives
• (NOTE: We often use Kirkfield quarry for the dives as it offers some protection from the elements as well as things to see. If we do there will be admission costs that are extra)
