The PADI Nitrox Diver course is designed is to give you the the skills and knowledge needed to effectively and safely use Enriched Air Nitrox mixtures up to 40 oxygen content.

Nitrox is not a deep diving gas and is in fact ideal for divers who simply wish to have more bottom time and be more conservative in sport diving ranges.

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• Significant increase in no decompression bottom time .
• Shorter surface interval times possible.
• Reduction of the possibility of decompression sickness.
• Slight reduction in air consumption.(as shown in certain studies)
• Reduced post dive fatigue (As declared by many Nitrox divers)

• Minimum age 15
• Classroom hours approx 5-6 hours
• Open water dives are not required but encouraged.
• Certified Diver (may also be taken in conjunction with a basic open water course)

Books etc - Students will require a PADI Enriched air diver crewpack which includes the following: Enriched Air 32 percent Table, Enriched Air 36 percent Table, Equivalent Air Depth/Oxygen Exposure Table and PADI Nitrox diver DVD. Crewpack is not included.

Where can I go from here?

You can apply this Specialty course towards your Master Scuba Diver certification.You also need the PADI Enriched Diver certification if you intend to move into technical diving.
