Enriched Air/Nitrox

The PADI Enriched Air/Nitrox course is typically a One Day Specialty class that is classroom based. It designed to give you the the skills and knowledge needed to effectively and safely use Enriched Air Nitrox mixtures up to 40 oxygen content.

Nitrox is not a deep diving gas and is in fact ideal for divers who simply wish to increase their available no decompression bottom times and possibly even feel a little bit more energetic at the end of the dive day.*

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• Significant increase in no decompression bottom time
• Shorter surface interval times possible.
• Reduction of the possibility of decompression sickness.
• Reduced post dive fatigue (*As declared by many Nitrox divers)

PRE-REQUISITES:

• Minimum age 12yrs
• Course hours approx: 5-6
• Open water dives are not required unless being done by an open water student as part of their open water certification dives.
• Certified Diver (may also be taken in conjunction with a basic open water course)

Where can I go from here?

You can apply this Specialty course towards your Master Scuba Diver certification.  You also need the PADI Enriched Diver certification if you intend to move into technical diving or if you wish to become and Instructor or Dive Master.

NITROX  - eLearning Option: 

This course can also be done through PADI eLearning at home at your own pace. eLearning includes all books and learning materials as well as private instruction at the shop with an instructor at a mutually acceptable date/time - eLearning price in 2018 is $209 which is slightly more expensive but offers ultra flexible scheduling and private instruction...
