PADI Equipment Course

This is a comprehensive Full day program that gives a detailed view of equipment design and operation, with an eye towards preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and general gear knowledge. (This is also a great program for divers considering purchasing equipment as they will come out with a much better knowledge and understanding of many brands of scuba gear)

This course is not designed to replace the factory required annual service of your gear, but to supplement it and allow you the diver to understand exactly how the gear you use works, how to properly maintain it and how to deal with common problems that can occur on the dive site or dive boat..often far from home.

Students are encouraged to bring in their own dive gear so the program can be tailored to their equipment needs, however, it is not necessary as all types of equipment will be looked at and provided as needed..

Upon completion of this students should be able to comfortably deal with many of the equipment issues associated with diving and know when it is something they can handle or if it is something that needs to go to the shop.

• BCD’s - concepts, maintenance and repair
• Wetsuit and drysuit maintenance and repair
• Tanks and valves
• Mask, Fins, Snorkels
• Accessories. – Lights, Cameras Action...

Pre-Requisites:

• Excellent for divers of any certification level or agency
• Open to all including Non Divers and student divers
  
• New & Student Divers can receive a PADI certification card once certified
• Strongly recommended for all Dive Masters and Scuba instructors
